Continued progress with Encircle

We’re proud to announce our continued partnership with Encircle is stronger than ever. Since 2021, we’ve been working closely with Encircle to uplift their organization and the services they offer to LGBTQ+ youth, young adults, and families in Salt Lake, Provo, Heber City, and St.George.

Our partnership continues in 2024 and we’re excited to share some updates on how we’ll continue supporting Encircle. 

Lunch at the Encircle house 

Since we started working with Encircle, we’ve provided lunches to their Salt Lake City and Provo homes. At 1-800 Contacts headquarters, we have an amazing kitchen staff – led by Chef Tom – who is always excited to provide lunch to Encircle guests. 

It’s a simple way for us to be engaged with their daily activities and provide added support for an organization that does so much for the local community. 

Eyewear for LGBTQ+ youth

In addition to the lunches provided, we also provided Encircle with vouchers for glasses through Liingo Eyewear. Community members can redeem these vouchers on the Liingo site for discounted eyewear. 

Due to Encircle’s primary audience being LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, it’s vital that they have access to an affordable eyewear solution. Having an updated prescription and a fresh pair of eyeglasses is one way we help ensure these youth and young adults have the tools they need to thrive. 

Eye exams for Encircle community members

We also offer Encircle guests access to our onsite vision clinic, South Valley Optical. There they can get free comprehensive eye exams from our resident optometrist. Having the opportunity to get quickly and easily get a new prescription means one less thing to worry about for Encircle’s youth and young adults.

In addition to these efforts, we are proud sponsors of Encircle Events. Recently we helped sponsor their Only Love Gala and are looking forward to more opportunities to support their organization. 

We can’t put into words how grateful we are for Encircle’s dedication to the LGBTQ+ community and how excited we are to continue to support them. We plan to continue our current initiatives while also expanding the ways in which we support their mission. 

There are so many issues facing LGBTQIA+ youth in Utah and we hope our partnership will provide some relief and comfort when it’s needed most.
